- MBM READYMIX prioritizes customer privacy and security. We do not store any card details or personal information. Payment details are securely input into our Merchant’s website, ensuring the concealment of any personal data. Your confidence in our secure payment process is of utmost importance to us.
ORDER AMENDMENTS AND CANCELLATION POLICY:
Modifications or cancellations to your order must be communicated with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. Failure to adhere to this notice period may result in the imposition of a cancellation fee amounting to ÂŁ350.00 + VAT.
PRICE ADJUSTMENT POLICY:
The quoted prices are determined by the prevailing costs of materials and labour at the date of the quotation. In the event of fluctuations in these costs, we retain the right to make corresponding variations to the prices. Any adjustments will be communicated to you after providing due notice.
TERMS TO NOTE A DAY BEFORE THE DELIVERY:
SITE ACCESS POLICY:
Every order is processed under the condition that your site is accessible via a suitable hard road. Our drivers are authorized to exercise discretion in refusing delivery if, in their professional judgment, there exists a potential risk of damage to the delivery vehicle. It is imperative to acknowledge that ensuring a safe approach to the site is your responsibility. In the event of our driver deeming the access unsafe and deciding to abort the job, you, as the party responsible for site conditions, will be held liable for any associated costs. These costs may include, but are not limited to, a cancellation fee.
ADJACENT VEHICLE ARRANGEMENT:
Customers are kindly requested to ensure that neighbouring vehicles are parked at a reasonable distance from the designated parking spot for our delivery lorry upon arrival. We recommend maintaining a space equivalent to at least four vehicles. It is crucial to note that the responsibility for organizing this arrangement rests with the customer. Our drivers are solely responsible for delivering the concrete and are not accountable for managing adjacent vehicles. In the event of any consequential loss or damage resulting from vehicles positioned in close proximity to the lorry, MBM READYMIX cannot be held responsible. Any complaints related to this matter will be respectfully redirected to the customer for resolution.
NON-INCLUSION OF WHEEL BARROWS:
Please be advised that wheelbarrows are not supplied by MBM READYMIX as part of our service. Kindly make arrangements for wheelbarrows independently as needed for your project.
TERMS TO NOTE ON THE DATE OF DELIVERY:
QUANTITY:
- In the event that your concrete requirement significantly exceeds the initially ordered amount, please be aware
that allocation to the next available booking slot may be necessary if accommodation on the same date is not
feasible. - Payment is based on actual usage, and adjustments either payment or refund will be made accordingly.
- Disputes regarding the quantity of concrete should be addressed at the time of delivery by discussing the matter
with the driver.
RETURNED LOAD:
- If your initial booking necessitates more than one truck due to the volume of concrete and any lorries are turned away from the delivery date, a cancellation fee may be applicable.
TIME SLOT:
- Allocated time slots are estimates, and the delivery may occur at any time within the provided slot.
- While we strive to meet specified time slots, factors beyond our control, such as breakdowns and traffic, may cause delays. In such instances, we will provide updates as promptly as reasonably practicable.
- Please note that compensation cannot be provided for delays beyond our control.
DELAYS:
- We reserve the right to suspend or delay, without penalty, in the event of war, civil commotion, lockouts, fire, fog, inclement weather conditions, delays in transport, non-availability, plan or truck breakdown, accidents, or other unforeseen circumstances.
WAITING TIME:
- Prices assume no unreasonable delay in discharging the concrete. No waiting time charges apply for the first 30 minutes on-site; thereafter, charges apply unless otherwise agreed prior to delivery.
- Exceeding the agreed-upon waiting time will result in a waiting time charge of ÂŁ1.50 per minute.
PUMP USAGE:
- Pump bookings assume a 4-hour slot starting from when the pump arrives, inclusive of setup and cleaning time.
- If the pump exceeds this allocated time slot, a waiting time charge of ÂŁ90 + VAT per hour will apply.
PUMP:
- When booking a pump with ourselves, it is the customers responsibility to provide our drivers with a skip or an area to dispose of any waste material or waste concrete.
- Whilst our operators are trained to take great care, it is inevitable that there will be grout leaks from the pump. Therefore, we advise all customers to lay down polythene underneath the pump to minimise damage.
- Please note that there may be some splash back on site and therefore advise customers to use material to cover any surroundings and to jet wash this on the same date;
- We advise that neighbours should be contacted if vehicles shall be parked in the vicinity of where the truck and pump shall be set up. We will not be liable for any damage to any vehicles.
- A pump shall be booked on the presumption that your job shall take a 4 hour slot starting from when the pump arrives and includes time for setting up and cleaning. In the event that the pump has exceeded this time slot there will be a waiting time charged for ÂŁ90 + VAT per hour.
LABOUR SUPPLY:
If there has been an agreement for labour to be provided as part of our services, the labourers have been provided by ourselves in the form of an agency. Therefore, these labourers shall be working under your instruction and specifications. We cannot accept any liability for any defects or complaints in relation to work carried out under your instruction.
CONSEQUNTIAL LOSS AND DAMAGE:
PROPERTY DAMAGE DISCLAIMER:
We assume no liability for any damage incurred to your roads or the property of others on the site arising from the use of our vehicles. Although our drivers undergo training to ensure the safe delivery of concrete, it is understood that you have taken the necessary measures to guarantee a secure site for the driver. The responsibility for conducting proper safety checks lies with you, acknowledging the shared commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
VEHICLE DAMAGE RESPONSIBILITY:
You are responsible for rectifying any damage caused to our vehicle or harm to our personnel due to defects in the access road or negligence on the part of you or your employees. It is essential to address and remedy such situations promptly to ensure the continued smooth execution of our services.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS:
Under no circumstances shall we be held liable for any consequential loss or damage. This provision serves to delineate the boundaries of our responsibility and underscores the importance of understanding and acknowledging this limitation.
LIABILITY REGARDING NEIGHBORING PROPERTIES:
We disclaim any responsibility for damage caused to neighbouring property or land under circumstances where a pump has been booked. It is crucial to recognize and acknowledge this limitation in our liability.

TERMS RELATING TO THE CONCRETE:
ADDITIONAL WATER USAGE POLICY:
Any extra water that may impact the strength or workability of the concrete will be explicitly mentioned on the delivery ticket/invoice. This additional water is introduced solely at the customer’s request and is undertaken at their own risk.
COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE:

With the signing of delivery tickets, we assert our legal right to prompt payment. Non-compliance with this obligation constitutes a breach of contract and is legally untenable.
- In the event that you wish to contest the quantity or quality of concrete, it is imperative that such concerns be addressed prior to the signing of delivery tickets.
- All formal complaints should be submitted in writing to sa***@mb*********.uk within 24 hours of the delivery. Any complaints received after this timeframe will be considered unreasonable.
